Welcome & Meet Your Robot
Thanks for bringing home your new DZbotics robot. It is a tiny desk companion with a big personality — it has moods, plays games, runs focus timers, guides your breathing, tells jokes, and throws a party on demand. Everything happens on its little screen, controlled with three touch spots and a glowing light.
No technical knowledge needed — if you can tap and hold, you can use your robot.
OLED face screen
The small display where your robot shows its eyes, menus, games, and messages.
Touch spots (3)
Capacitive pads you tap or hold: one in the centre (the belly) and one on each side of the head (left and right).
LED glow
A colour light underneath that reacts to what the robot is doing.
USB power
Plug it in with a standard USB cable to switch it on. There is no power button.
Touch Controls
Your robot has three touch spots. Everything is done by tapping or holding them.
The three touch spots

Tip
When in doubt, hold the centre spot for a moment — that always takes you back home.
First-Time Setup
Power on
Connect your robot to power using a USB cable and any standard phone charger or laptop port. It starts up on its own and shows the DZbotics logo splash (held for about 2 seconds), then a typewriter greeting with your robot's name and a heart emoji — no accounts, apps, or network setup required. Everything works right out of the box.
Your Virtual Pet
At its heart, your robot is a digital pet. It has three needs that slowly drop over time, just like a real companion. When a need gets low, your robot shows it on its face — a hungry, sad, or sleepy look. Open the Pet menu to take care of it.
Hunger
Feed — tap left to drop a fish treat and fill hunger.
Happiness
Play — tap right for a quick play animation that lifts happiness.
Energy
Sleep — tap the centre for a short nap that restores energy.
Affection
Pet it — touch either side of its head for a petting reaction and a happiness boost, or hold both together for a tummy tickle. This works from the home face too, so you can pet your robot anytime you want to lift its spirits.
Don't neglect it
If all the needs stay very low for a long stretch, your robot can get "sick" and will need some extra attention and care to bounce back. Your robot remembers its health, age, and how often you have interacted, even after you unplug it.
Things To Do
Focus Timer
A Pomodoro-style countdown timer that runs four 25-minute focus sessions back-to-back. Tap left or right to adjust each session in 1-minute steps; tap the centre to start, pause, or resume. Your robot throws up two thumbs and the light celebrates when each session is done. Hold the centre to leave.
Games
Six quick, penguin-themed mini-games. Your best score or win count is saved for each one. The first four open with a short screen explaining the controls — tap the centre to skip it. To leave a game, hold the centre spot for a moment.
Catch Fish — a reflex catching game.
Iceberg Hopping — jump from platform to platform.
Snowball Dodge — dodge the obstacles.
Ice Sliding — slide and steer with momentum.
Tic Tac Toe — pick X or O and play against your robot. Fair warning: it does not lose.
Rock Paper Scissors — best of three. Hold a touch spot as the countdown hits zero.
Quotes & Jokes
Tap left or right to browse 50+ motivational quotes or 50+ jokes any time. Jokes show the setup first, then reveal the punchline after a short pause. A random quote or joke also pops up about once an hour.
Calm (Breathing Coach)
A guided exercise to help you relax: breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4, and breathe out for 6, repeated twice — about 30 seconds in all. Animated water rises and falls with your breath while the light pulses a soft blue. Afterwards your robot asks whether you feel better, and may offer you a game.
Party Mode
Your robot breaks into a dance animation while the glow light runs a disco routine. It keeps going until you tap the centre spot once to stop it. Best deployed when someone walks past your desk.
LED & Info
The LED item turns the glow light on or off, and lets you customize brightness and color — your choices are remembered, even after unplugging. Info shows your robot's serial number and firmware version; tap the centre to close it.
Idle Animations
When your robot is just sitting idle on the home face, it randomly shows funny expressions to keep things lively — winking, raising an eyebrow in surprise, or sticking out its tongue. These happen automatically every few minutes to give it personality.
Reminders & Care
Gentle reminders
Water reminder — a nudge to drink water roughly every 30 minutes.
Break prompt — every few hours it suggests a short break. Say yes and it opens the games menu for you.
Posture check — an hourly nudge to sit up straight.
Check-in — about once an hour it asks how your day is going. Answer with left (good), right (great), or the centre (horrible) — and it will try to cheer you up.
Hourly pick-me-up — a surprise quote or joke about once an hour.
Keeping it happy
Your robot works entirely offline — no accounts, no cloud, and no network needed. Everything it does runs right on the device, so it is ready the moment you plug it in and your data never leaves your desk.
